THE GREY SELECTION

A selection does not end on the rack.

It changes when it enters the space, when it meets a body, a posture, a different kind of light.

Inside Degli Uberti, the grey room becomes more than a background. It is a condition: a neutral field where every volume becomes clearer, every fabric finds its weight, every silhouette is measured against a real body and a real space.

THE GREY SELECTION starts from the inside of the store.

Not from an external set.  

Not from a constructed image outside its context.

The selection stays where it belongs: among the rails, the walls, the mirrors, the light and the people who move through Degli Uberti every day.

The grey room is not a backdrop.

It removes noise.

It keeps the focus on proportion, texture and presence. It allows the garments to exist without being forced into an artificial scene.

Here, the store remains a store.

But for a moment, it becomes a frame.

The clothes are not isolated.  

They are placed back into their own environment.

A jacket, a shirt, a trouser, a knit: each piece is read through the same light that surrounds it every day.

Selected in store. Worn in store.

THE GREY SELECTION documents the passage from product to presence.

The rack suggests.

The body defines.

Every garment changes when it is worn: the way it falls, the way it moves, the way it holds or releases structure. What was first seen as an object becomes a figure, a proportion, a possible way of inhabiting the space.

This is not a classic lookbook.

It is a continuous internal archive: a series of garments, postures and silhouettes shaped by the same grey room.
