The body as program, identity uploaded into the digital
by Fabrizio Borriello - 04/10/25
This editorial explores the boundary between the real and the digital world.
The female figure turns into an avatar, suspended between body and image, between physical identity and virtual representation. Its dark, futuristic aesthetic emphasizes this transformation, revealing an unnatural presence, almost belonging to a parallel universe.
Through poses, volumes and surfaces, new visual configurations emerge: not simple garments, but “skins” that define and redefine the character. Chains become part of this grammar, amplifying the punk and material dimension.
The subject recedes, giving way to an image that acts as an interface: a body-icon that speaks of avatarization, of a constant tension between human and digital. An aesthetic that does not merely represent, but generates a new visual identity.
