ARCH-ETYPE

by Fabrizio Borriello - 08/10/24

Derived from the ancient Latin term "archetypum" and originating from the ancient Greek "ὰρχέτυπος" (archétypos) where "arché" signifies "beginning" or "original principle" and "typos" denotes "model", "brand" or "exemplar", the term "archetype" carries a rich historical legacy.
The genesis of the Arch-etype project was spurred by the aspiration to forge the archetype of the quintessential DEGLIUBERTI man. In a clever linguistic nod, we dissected the term "Arch-etype" placing emphasis on the shared initial letters with "Archive" while preserving its auditory and visual integrity, and the 'Etype', which represents the modern, digitised human being. This project is dedicated to dressing the contemporary man through the reinterpretation and representation of archival pieces sourced from carefully selected brands. It offers a unique opportunity to explore innovative design concepts that seamlessly blend the past and the present, thereby crafting a novel narrative in the realm of contemporary fashion. Central to our mission is the establishment of partnerships and collaborations with other esteemed brands and local communities aimed at delivering an authentic and conscientious experience to the discerning public. Our discernment, as well as sustained interaction with the community, remains the sole barometer for the selection and subsequent transformation of these initial pieces.
